Lamzu Thorn Fnatic

This is the Lamzu Thorn and it’s a major positive surprise for me. I’ve Got The Fnatic collab and according to Lamzu, the only difference with this one at the standard Thorn is the colorway so everything that we go through in this review will match the standard Thorn as well and let me tell you that almost all the features in the mouse are very very good so let’s start the review. 

Lamzu Thorn comes with a 4k dongle included in the box and the mouse does very well in terms of motion latency and click latency. It has a premium Pixart 3395 (with MotionSync) sensor. As the Thorn uses optical switches, you can use the mouse with 0ms debounce pretty much forever without worrying about double clicks.

One thing Lamzu still does not have is slam click prevention, which can happen pretty easily with 0ms debounce

The Click feel is very good in-game as these are light and easy to actuate, which makes this very accurate to spam while controlling recoil for example. The actuation itself is not very crispy or tactile, so if that’s something you look for in a click, this might not be something you enjoy.

The scroll wheel has tactile steps and the middle click is very easy to actuate. The side buttons feel very premium with crispy and tactile actuation.

Shape of the mouse in my opinion is fantastic, it has an additional hump on the back of the shell, which forces your hand into more of an upward angle. This feels very natural especially for claw grip.

The coating is now smooth and very grippy, which is a huge improvement over the atlantis lineup and the coating even makes the mouse feel more premium overall.

The mouse feet have been very good on all Lamzu mice and this is no exception. On smooth pads they can be suprisingly slow.

All of this comes in a beautifully designed box. The way this product is presented makes it feel like a luxury product instead of a mid-tier (when it comes to the price, that is) gaming mouse. Despite the fact that I don’t really care too much about the unboxing experience it’s always nice to see a company put this much effort into their packaging. All of the extras included are also a really nice touch. This mouse is off to a great start before you even start using it.

Lamzu Thorn Fnatic is priced at $99 and the 4k dongle is included in the box, which makes this very good value for your money. For me the Lamzu Thorn is placed easily in the top 5 best released mice this year.
